Lupton Fawcett Denison Till Gain Cyber Essentials Plus
One of the North of England's largest law firms Lupton Fawcett Denison Till recently gained accreditation to Cyber Essentials Plus for their central York office. We would like to send our congratulations and thanks for certifying with us.
Richard Marshall, Managing Director of Lupton Fawcett Denison Till said:
“Xyone were instrumental in advising and helping us achieve our Cyber Essential Plus accreditation. The legal sector is particularly vulnerable with over 173 law firms (July, 2015) having been exposed to a range of cyber-related incidents. Through Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, we are able to offer our clients and others that deal with us reassurance through objective proof that we have considered the essential cyber security threats. Xyone also conducted a multi-stage social engineering exercise for us which was tailored to suit our specific requirements. This exercise demonstrated our commitment that we will not rest on our laurels. We remain vigilant to the ever evolving threats that businesses are continually faced with and our clients can be assured and confident that we are looking out for them.
We have been very satisfied with the quality of service provided by Xyone and their pro-active approach and we would have no hesitation in using their services again."
Cyber Essentials checks that the company's IT infrastructure is safe in the following areas:
• Boundary Firewalls and Internet Gateways
• Secure Configurations
• User Access Control
• Malware Protection
• Patch Management
There are two levels to Cyber Essentials – Cyber Essentials which is the certification of a self-assessment questionnaire and Cyber Essentials Plus, which verifies the self-assessment questionnaire with some on-site checks and vulnerability assessments.
